How to make an epoxy table?

Making an epoxy table involves several steps, including preparing the surface, mixing the epoxy resin and hardener, pouring and leveling the epoxy, and allowing it to cure. Here is an overview of the process:

  1. Prepare the surface: The surface of the table should be clean, smooth, and free of any debris or contaminants. Sand the surface if necessary to remove any imperfections.

  2. Mix the epoxy: Epoxy resin and hardener are typically sold in separate containers. Mix the two components according to the manufacturer's instructions. Be sure to mix thoroughly to ensure a consistent cure.

  3. Pour and level the epoxy: Pour the mixed epoxy onto the surface of the table and use a squeegee to level it out. Be sure to work quickly as epoxy has a pot life, or a time frame in which it can be poured and leveled before it starts to harden.

  4. De-bubble the epoxy: If bubbles appear on the surface of the epoxy, you can use a heat gun or torch to gently heat the surface, which will cause the bubbles to rise and pop.

  5. Allow the epoxy to cure: Once the epoxy is poured and leveled, it will need to cure for a certain period of time, which can vary depending on the manufacturer's instructions. Avoid using or touching the table until it is fully cured.

  6. Sand and polish: Once the epoxy is cured, you can sand it to remove any imperfections and to make it smooth. Then, use a polisher to make it shiny.

Please note that this process can be tricky and requires some level of skill and experience, therefore, It's recommended to have the right tools and safety gear and if you're not confident in your abilities you should consider hiring a professional.
